Yolo, Solano residents arrested in connection with Davis robbery – The Vacaville Reporter

Two women – including one from Suisun – have been arrested in connection with a November robbery at a Davis department store.

On November 28, four people walked into the CVS Pharmacy in the 1500 block of East Covell Blvd. They filled duffel bags and a 50-gallon plastic bag with personal care products worth an estimated $2,000 and left the store without paying, Davis police said.

Approximately 20 minutes later, the suspects entered the CVS Pharmacy in the 1400 block of West Covell Blvd. and allegedly stole approximately $5,000 worth of personal care products. The manager confronted them, police said, and they fled the store.

The Davis Police Department’s Community-Oriented Policing and Problem-Solving Unit later identified two of the suspects.

On January 19, 2022, detectives arrested 22-year-old Diamon Russell from Suisun City at his home. She was incarcerated in Yolo County Jail on suspicion of organized retail theft with intent to sell, grand larceny and conspiracy.

On January 20, detectives arrested Destiny Gates, 21, of Davis. A search of her apartment revealed a large amount of stolen beauty products, cosmetics and other items, police said, as well as illegally held ammunition. She was charged with organized retail theft with intent to sell, grand theft, conspiracy and being a prohibited person in possession of ammunition.

The case remains under investigation.
