Janna Ronert ditching her skincare routine

You might not know Janna Ronert’s name, but if you’ve ever had a facial, there’s a good chance you’ve used her products. She is the founder of Image Skincare, a line of clean clinical products that is considered the number one spa brand in America.

Today, Image products are stocked in more than 25,000 spas across the country, but in 2003 Ronert, a licensed esthetician, started the brand in hopes of helping herself. “I suffered from very severe rosacea for many years and worked with many other professional brands and really couldn’t find a brand that could solve my own skin care issues,” says- she. Charm. She explains that she has always loved beauty and skin care, but never thought she would end up making a career in the industry.

“I actually went to college, I have a business degree,” she says. “I’ve worked with many Fortune 100 companies in sales and marketing. But because of my skin issues, I just wanted to be a beautician.” Silently; I have been a closet esthetician for many years. I think my family and friends would have thought I was totally crazy, but I was just motivated to love the skin and learn more about it. “

“I grew up rummaging through my mother’s and four sisters’ makeup and care drawers,” she continues. “I think a very young age, really pretty skin gave me a lot of confidence and happiness, and still is.” The road to “pretty skin” hasn’t been easy, however, and she’s not afraid to get to work.

“My rosacea, I went down. I’m in good shape now, ”she said. “But I think that at my age, my biggest concern is really about the prevention of fine lines and wrinkles. So I am sort of the master exfoliator. I am a huge scrub fan. Now, especially since this year with COVID and so many Zooms, I’m really into enlightenment and glowing skin. So the program that I thought I would share with you today is really how to get the shine. ”

Below, Ronert shares products she can’t live without. Read on as she lets go of her routine.

My cleansers

I use a few different tools to help with the cleaning process. I like Brush Michael Todd Beauty Soniclair Elite. It’s an electric brush that really cleanses the skin. I like to mix this with our Total Ageless Face Wash. It is an exfoliant with glycolic acid, AHAs and BHAs, which gives my skin radiance. Then I like to use our Iluma Brightening Exfoliating Cleanser. This is a brand new product that we just bought out; it contains bamboo spheres mixed with enzymes called smart sensing beads that burst on your skin. They contain natural extracts of white peony, licorice, green tea and natural rice water. It is therefore a very good double cleaning. Remember, I’m a beautician, and I can afford to do a lot, so I do a lot for my skin. I’m doing pretty well.

At night, I use the same Total Facial Cleanser because I love to exfoliate. But the second cleanse is what I do for my rosacea. I use the Vital C Hydrating Cleanser because it tends to really calm my skin. It manages all the free radicals caused by my stress during the day.

My serums

I like to mix three things together. I love vitamin C; I’m a big fan of this for anti-aging and lightening. Our number one product is our Vital C Anti-Aging Hydrating Serum, and I mix that with the Total Anti-Aging Serum, which contains more AHA, BHA and peptides.
