Farmacy 10% Niacinamide Night Mask Review

  • The Farmacy 10% Niacinamide Overnight Mask launched on December 27.
  • The leave-in treatment helps treat dull complexion, uneven texture and pores while you sleep.
  • Our editor tested it overnight and left it hydrated and glowing skin in the morning.

Do you know that sticky feeling you get when using night masks? The one that makes your pillowcase stick to your face while you sleep? Yes, I hate that too – that’s the reason I avoid using certain nighttime treatments. But luckily none of this is a problem with the new Farmacy 10% Niacinamide Overnight Mask. The Overnight Treatment, which just launched on December 27, is an ultra-hydrating, skin-smoothing leave-in mask that addresses a myriad of skin care concerns, from dryness to pores to complexion. dull and uneven texture.

The Farmacy 10% Niacinamide Overnight Mask ($ 42) comes in a purple glass jar filled with a purplish-blue bouncy cream. The texture is somewhere between a cream gel and a cream water, except that it is much lighter. It’s formulated with 10 percent niacinamide (aka vitamin B3), a superstar ingredient for smoothing uneven texture, refining pores, and promoting glow. It also contains three percent panthenol and beta-glucan, which are two skin moisturizers that help maintain a healthy moisture barrier. The whimsical color of the night mask is inspired by the recycled blueberry seed oil in the formula, which, as an antioxidant, protects your skin against free radical damage while restoring radiance to your complexion.

When I first tried it, I decided to skip all of my usual steps in my overnight diet after cleansing to see how well it worked on its own. After dipping the included applicator (I prefer to use it rather than my fingers) into the jar, I immediately noticed how fluffy the texture of the night cream is. I was able to feel a burst of hydration as soon as I applied the silky formula to my skin. There wasn’t that sticky feel that usually comes with gel or night mask formulas, and a little bit of product did a lot to cover my face and neck. The other thing that I noticed right away was the lack of smell of the product. Personally, I’m not someone who hates scented products until they’re too harsh, but I know a lot of people (and fellow editors) who find scents irritating. With that in mind, I appreciate that the Farmacy 10% Niacinamide Night Mask is fragrance free.

As a person with combination skin – I get oily in my T-zone and dry on my forehead and cheeks – I like to hydrate in the winter to make sure my skin doesn’t get patchy or scaly. This means that I’m always on the hunt for a heavy moisturizer at night during the cooler months. While this leave-in mask had a lighter, gel-cream-like texture, it was still rich on my skin and provided me with enough moisture to last through the night.

After sleeping in it, I woke up the next morning pleasantly surprised that it did not fade my white pillowcase. (For the record, I still wouldn’t recommend sleeping on your side immediately after applying the overnight mask – you should let it dry a bit.) I still had a bit of residue on my skin when I went to do my routine. morning, which proves to me that the product is what it claims to be: a leave-in mask. What was left on my skin came off when I rinsed my face with cold water, then continued with the rest of my skin care routine as usual.

My skin after wearing the Farmacy 10% Niacinamide Overnight Mask overnight looked dewy and had a natural glow. I didn’t see an immediate difference in the appearance of my pores so I can’t speak for that claim (you usually have to use skin care products for a few weeks to really see these kinds of results). I loved how hydrated my skin felt after a night’s sleep, and over time the 10 percent niacinamide will help brighten and smooth the look of my skin. While I agree that $ 42 for an overnight mask doesn’t come cheap, a little of this product goes a long way and will last you a long time, so it’s worth buying in my book.
