Skin purging is a common occurrence that usually occurs after using some of the newer products in your daily skin regimen. Most products containing retinol or alpha hydroxy generally tend to cause extensive skin bleeding in most patients. Retinol is a skin care vitamin derived from vitamin A. It is commonly found in skin care products which increase the amount of collagen in the skin, thereby making the skin appear more plump. You may also feel a skin purge of the exfoliating acids. Certain facials that involve a chemical peel component can also trigger this reaction because, again, it is a reaction in response to accelerated exfoliation.
Rash is basically the reaction that takes place on your skin which can be rashes, lumps, comedones, papules, pustules, pimples, blackheads, whiteheads which often occur after use new skin products that your skin is usually not used to. Many patients may be confused and blame someone for suggesting these products, but the point is that skin bleeding is very natural and no one really has control over it. But in the long run, this is only useful.
If you use products with active ingredients, for example retinol or alpha-hydroxy acid, these products go ahead and help increase cell turnover. In other words, your cells are multiplying faster due to the underlying pathology you have in your skin, which is trying to come out faster. As a result, the deeper layers that have issues such as sea bumps, pores, or acne, become shallow at a faster rate and can also sink completely through the skin.
Things to avoid during skin bleeding
What most people do is stop using the new product with the active ingredients at that point. This is absolutely wrong and should be avoided. The skin purge lasts for a few days and then the overall benefit you get from the product in the long run would be very beneficial. Thus, one should not directly stop using the product if the skin begins to purge and not scratch or pluck your skin, as this could cause additional problems.
Difference between usual rash and skin purge
Usually the skin purge sets in within 21 days to a month on its own, so you shouldn’t worry about it lasting longer. You don’t need any additional or additional product for this. The only thing you need to do is keep using your products and continually seek the advice of your dermatologist for the same without fear and stress. And a real acne problem or breakouts persist for more than 45 days for which you must absolutely seek the advice of your dermatologist.
How to avoid skin bleeding
For some people, skin bleeding is inevitable and cannot be avoided. There is no need to be scared and stressed about it, but just consult a dermatologist and make sure that if you have a lot of skin bleeding you should minimize the use of your products to just twice a week instead. daily.
